Come and join our Practical Architecture meetup on August 23rd, 2017 at Xebia's Amsterdam Office. We created this meetup for everyone who is interested in practical and modern IT architecture.

modern IT architecture made practical

Doing business digitally means that having a public API has become a key asset for many companies.

A public API is a new type of service that extends the business model beyond traditional boundaries and acts as a true market differentiator. But how do you model a public API, that extends your business, is consumer-friendly, scalable and maintainable?

- REST, or Representational State Transfer, is a commonly used web architecture pattern built on top of HTTP that defines modern APIs. Designing a REST API starts with discovering the resources, their representations, relations and operations. REST resource modelling design comes with different design decisions, with corresponding trade-offs to be made.

In this meetup you will practice designing a resource model for your REST API in order to discover which design decisions and trade-offs you need to make to create a consumer-friendly API.

Join us  if you want to learn what it takes to design a public API. A delicious dinner and drinks will be arranged by us.
