Our client is a Fortune 500 company that is a global leader in employee life cycle management and payroll solutions. With a global footprint and USD 15 Billion revenues, the client offers over 50+ products for over 0.6 million customers. Client’s database management team at India comprising of 50+ database administrators and programmers manages 500+ instances of Oracle, MySQL and SQL Server instances on Amazon web services. They provide 24/7/365 support to over 50+ products. Each month, on average, the team gets 2000+ scripts to be executed against specific database instances on specific environments. This entire process was manually done by following traditional ITIL® processes such as Change and Incident Management. The client was looking to automate the repetitive process followed for handling daily DB operational tasks. In order to overcome this manual way of working the client wanted to develop 3 self-service portals for execution of the client specific scripts, performing backups and refreshes for DB requests to reduce implementation time in all environments. They wanted to design and implement this solution following Agile methodology and were keen towards adopting Agile management.

With the objective of enabling an adaptive organization culture rooted in continuous process improvement, the client approached Xebia to design and implement a solution for holistic Agile transformation.
